Job summary

Pima Community College's Critical Care and Allied Health Division invites applications to expand the pool of qualified Pharmacy Technology adjunct faculty for the 2026-2027 Academic Year and beyond. This part-time/temporary role involves teaching college-level Pharmacy Technology courses and may be assigned to specific courses or kept in a pool for future needs.

Qualifications

Be a licensed pharmacist OR an actively nationally certified pharmacy technician who:
Has at least two (2) years of pharmacy experience
Adheres to state regulations for licensure or registration to practice as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician (i.e. Arizona State Board of Pharmacy license)
Experience teaching college-level courses. Experience teaching online courses and/or alternative instructional formats. Experience using a Learning Management System, preferably D2L Brightspace.

Responsibilities

Instruct students in the Pharmacy Technology subject matter and work with them on strategies to help them achieve academic success.
Follow established protocols for presence, responsiveness, grading, attendance taking, and assessment of student learning.
Use current, effective classroom management techniques.
Monitor and continuously improve instruction to ensure Student Learning Outcomes are met on a classroom, discipline/program, and College level.
Evaluate student performance.
Collaborate with faculty, staff and students in a collegial manner.
