Job summary

GRX Holdings, LLC is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for our Medicap Pharmacy in Story City, IA. The role is full-time with up to 32 hours per week, providing support to the pharmacist and handling prescriptions under supervision.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician experience is preferred but not required; we will train you.
• This position is listed as a "Certified Pharmacy Technician," however we encourage applications from both certified candidates and those who do not have Pharmacy Technician experience. Compensation for non-certified candidates will be based on experience and training.
• Pharmacy technicians must be nationally certified and registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy; registration is required prior to commencing employment in an Iowa pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies and procedures including register performance, security issues, and confidentiality
• Greet customers and answer questions
• Receive prescriptions and check their validity
• Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate
• Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims)
• Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions
• Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory
• Undertake administrative tasks as assigned
• Comply with all security measures and quality standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
