Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Help pharmacists prepare prescriptions by counting or pouring medications, labeling containers, and pricing prescriptions.
• Ensure customers receive all their prescriptions.
• File written prescription forms after prescriptions are dispensed.
• Prepare and complete manual insurance claim forms.
• Maintain organized filing system for invoices and daily reports.
• Help customers find over the counter items.
• Maintain understanding of scheduling system and assist in data entry of information.
• Maintain attendance and vacation log information.
• Order, stock, maintain and return pharmacy inventory through proper suppliers.
• Assist in processing pharmacy out-dates and credits including keeping inventory fresh.
• Assist in preparation of pharmaceutical products for inventory.
• Maintain and clean the pharmacy department and supplies.
• Observe all company policies and the Pharmacy Standard Practice Manual.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and comply with personal appearance policy.
• Work within management planning guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support safety standards and report needed repairs; keep area free of hazards.
• Treat co-workers with fairness, dignity and respect.
• Maintain quality of department's appearance and presentation.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
