Job summary
Life Tree Pharmacy is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in daily operations and medication packaging. The role includes inventory maintenance, compounding under supervision, accurate labeling, and preparing medications for delivery.
The position requires being a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee (or willing to become registered) with the Pennsylvania State Board, and the candidate must be at least 16 years old.
Qualifications
- Be a Registered Pharmacy Technician, a Pharmacy Technician Trainee or willingness to become registered as a Technician Trainee with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy
- Be at least 16 years of age
Responsibilities
- Supports pharmacists in the daily operations of the pharmacy.
- Package medications according to standard procedures including blister cards, unit dose packaging, compliance packaging, and vial fill.
- Assists with maintenance of an adequate inventory of medications and other supplies.
- Prepares compounds per physician’s order under supervision of a pharmacist.
- Labels prescriptions accurately, including informational labels, e.g. cautionary and auxiliary labels.
- Prepares medication for delivery to customers.
- Assists in maintenance and documentation of appropriate environmental controls in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Adhere to HIPAA and FDA regulations and also maintain a clean and safe pharmacy environment.
- Strives for compliance by all staff with internal controls and state and federal regulations.
