Meijer Inc. is seeking a part-time pharmacy assistant to interact with customers and support the pharmacy team in Indianapolis. You will input prescription data, create labels, and help adjudicate insurance claims while maintaining accuracy and patient privacy.

Responsibilities include stocking medications, ordering items, and ensuring a clean, organized work area. Prior experience in retail pharmacy and strong customer service are preferred.

Responsabilités

• Interact with patients at service points of contact.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Input customer and prescription information in the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve medications from inventory.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and managing orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medications.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Level 2 Interacting with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean, and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• Licensed in their respective state if required.
• Successful completion of Meijer Employer based training if licensure is not required in their respective state.
