Job summary

Meijer is seeking a part-time pharmacy-facing team member to provide exceptional customer service and maintain an orderly, compliant pharmacy environment. The role supports patient care, processes prescriptions, and assists with inventory and labeling.

The position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and friendly communication to promote Meijer’s patient-centered services and retail pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required or equivalent.
• Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
• Retail/Community practice experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor essential.
• Proficient typing and neat handwriting.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and customers at service points within the pharmacy.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Input patient and prescription information into the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and stock shelves.
• Complete paperwork related to prescriptions and drug orders.

The position must practice the profession of pharmacy in an environment that by philosophy and policy promotes patient care. This person must be friendly and provide remarkable customer service to enhance overall patient health.

What You'll be Doing:

• Level 2
• Interacting with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean, and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• Licensed in their respective state if required.
• Successful completion of Meijer Employer based training if licensure is not required in their respective state.
