Job summary

Emory Healthcare in Georgia is seeking a Part-time Pharmacy Technician to support the medication distribution process. The role involves inventory-related duties, receiving and organizing stock, and ensuring timely, accurate handling of medications and supplies.

Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, you will follow USP/DEA/FDA guidelines, maintain records, respond to inquiries, and participate in training and quality assurance activities to uphold patient care standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; ASHP-accredited tech training preferred.
• 6 months experience as Pharmacy Technician or completion of ASHP-accredited tech program preferred.
• Current CPhT certification through PTCB or NHA and active GA Tech registration, or enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy with GA Intern license.
• Must maintain certification and registration through length of employment.

Responsibilities

• Procure, prepare, package, distribute, and dispose medications and supplies under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain inventory of drugs and supplies; re-order and stock items on delivery.
• Follow USP/DEA/FDA guidelines when repackaging and compounding pharmaceutical products.
• Operate, troubleshoot, monitor, and clean departmental automation and equipment.
• Ensure pharmacist verification and timely distribution of medications to maintain product integrity.
• Maintain accurate records and patient profiles including charging and credits.
