Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services seeks a Pharmacy Technician to join a nonprofit behavioral health pharmacy focused on helping clients access medications efficiently and compassionately.

You will process prescriptions, assist with insurance, and connect clients to assistance programs, while upholding confidentiality and teamwork in a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; state-required pharmacy tech training.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions accurately, including new, refills, and transfers.
• Enter prescriptions via electronic, fax, or written forms.
• Manage insurance claims, troubleshoot rejections, and assist with prior authorizations.
• Identify medication access barriers and connect clients to assistance programs.
• Communicate effectively with clients and healthcare team members.
• Ensure accuracy in medication selection, patient information, and documentation.
• Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to pharmacy procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and adapt to changing priorities.
