Job summary

Azza HealthCare Agency seeks a Pharmacist to ensure safe and cost-efficient medication therapy, developing evidence-based care plans focused on patient outcomes and quality of life.

You will provide pharmaceutical care, review orders for safety, assess interactions, and collaborate with medical staff to optimize therapy and participate in rounds. Supervisory duties for technicians, students, and interns are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Master's preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a clinical environment, supervise staff, and manage resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care within designated patient care areas, coordinating resources for efficient service.
• Interpret, clarify, and review physicians' medication orders, ensuring appropriateness and safety.
• Assess patient medication profiles for sensitivities, contraindications, and interactions.
• Recommend formulary alternatives based on clinical parameters.
• Consult with medical staff on drug therapy issues, monitor laboratory results, and provide drug information to healthcare teams.
• Deliver patient discharge medication counseling and participate in medical rounds.
• Calculate drug dosages, verify orders, and prepare compounded or sterile medications.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, students, and interns, maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to resolve pharmacy-related issues and review departmental policies.
