Job summary

Wellspring Animal Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, is seeking an experienced Pet Groomer to join our veterinary support team. You will perform full grooming services and communicate recommendations to pet owners in a collaborative hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Professional pet grooming experience working with a variety of dog breeds and coat types.
• Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards.
• Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Grooming certification is a plus.
• Portfolio and references required.

Responsibilities

• Perform full grooming services including bathing, drying, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression.
• Evaluate each pet’s coat and skin condition and communicate grooming recommendations to pet owners.
• Engage with clients to understand grooming preferences and expectations.
• Safely handle pets of various sizes and temperaments during grooming procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized grooming area throughout the day and at the end of each shift.
