Job summary

Greater Austin YMCA in Dripping Springs, TX is seeking a part-time Personal Trainer to build a strong client base and support a safe, motivating gym environment. You will conduct training sessions, orient newcomers, and contribute to a community focused on health and well-being.

You will hold a current nationally recognized certification (NCCA-accredited) and cancel all duties as assigned, while promoting YMCA values and safety standards. Minimum age 18 and HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Part time availability with a flexible schedule.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Current certification from a nationally recognized and NCCA-accredited organization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct personal training sessions with members as scheduled.
• Encourage members to learn and understand the benefits of exercise and weight training and provide information about other YMCA programs.
• Lead individual or group activities as designated by the Health & Wellness Director.
• Understand and carry out the YMCA Fitness Program objectives.
• Ensure equipment is clean and ready to use for the next session.
• Promote the YMCA’s character values, mission, wellness philosophy, and role in the community.
• Lead by example the Y’s mission, vision, and values with program participants, members, staff, and guests.
• Become an Ambassador of the Y’s work and culture by being the ultimate storyteller of who we are as an organization and brand.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
