Job summary

The YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Inc. in Liberty County, GA is seeking a part-time Personal Trainer who provides one-on-one fitness instruction to members and designs personalized exercise programs. This role requires a Personal Trainer Certification and CPR/First Aid within 30 days of start.

You will guide individuals through workouts, ensure safety, support member retention, and contribute to the YMCA's community programs while upholding core values and professional standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Personal Trainer Certification required.
• Sound knowledge of accepted fitness standards and practices.
• Ability to develop and implement personal exercise programs.
• Ability to provide fitness testing.
• CPR and First Aid required within 30 days of employment.
• Criminal background check and authorization to work with children as per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement personal exercise programs for members tailored to their needs.
• Provide one-on-one coaching and instruction during exercise periods.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each member during instruction.
• Assist in member retention and satisfaction through customer service.
• Support the Annual Campaign fundraising program for the YMCA.
• Maintain a positive attitude with staff, peers, and participants.
• Willingly perform other duties as assigned.
