Job summary

The YMCA is seeking a part-time Personal Trainer to deliver safe, effective, one-on-one and small-group training aligned with YMCA values and certification standards. You will design programs, assess clients, monitor technique, and promote member engagement while supporting wellness goals.

Requirements include CPT certification, CPR/First Aid/Oxygen, and at least one year of fitness instruction. A degree in Exercise Science is preferred, with opportunities to grow within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized CPT certification (ACSM, ACE, NSCA, ISSA, AFAA, NASM, NETA, NESTA, IFPA) is required.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen Certification (provided upon hire) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective personal training sessions based on client goals and certifications.
• Conduct fitness assessments and design appropriate exercise programs.
• Maintain supervision for safety and proper technique during sessions.
• Generate, cultivate, and retain clients through consultations and engagement.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals via promotion of personal training services.
