Job summary

Cortica is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our Carlsbad center in California. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, play-centered therapy for children and families.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with SLPs, BCBAs, physicians, and other specialists to create integrated treatment plans and provide therapy in-clinic and via telehealth as appropriate. A master’s degree and OT licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unrestrictive OT license in the state of practice.
• Master’s degree in occupational therapy or related field.
• Safety training completed within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Establish OT goals using dynamic and standardized assessments aligned with Cortica’s Whole Child Approach.
• Collaborate with transdisciplinary team to create integrated treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and co-treat therapy sessions as appropriate.
• Contribute to autism diagnostic processes by providing clinical insight and administering standardized assessments (e.g., ADOS).
• Deliver therapy in-person at the clinic and via telehealth as clinically appropriate.
• Complete documentation within Cortica’s required time frames.
• Provide neurodiversity-affirming, play-based, goal-oriented interventions.
• Facilitate functional, child-led experiences to achieve individualized goals.
