Job summary

Cortica is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join a growing multi-disciplinary pediatric team in California. You will deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, collaborate across disciplines, document care, and educate families on home programs. The role requires a California OT license and a master’s degree.

The position emphasizes play-based and goal-oriented interventions to support sensory processing, regulation, and daily living skills, with accommodations as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in related field is required.
• Current California Occupational Therapy License is required.
• Excellent clinical skills are essential.
• Desire to work in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting.
• Flexible and eager to learn new approaches.
• Appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
• Passion for working with children.
• Proficient with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Establish occupational therapy treatment goals through dynamic and standardized assessment tools.
• Compute treatment plans with multidisciplinary team members for integrated care.
• Provide individual therapy sessions as well as group and/or co-treats as appropriate.
• Maintain patient records, documentation, and appropriate billing per regulations.
• Provide play-based and goal-based interventions to promote sensory processing, regulation, and daily living skills.
• Facilitate functional and stimulating experiences to meet individualized goals.
• Develop strategies and supports for engagement in daily activities.
• Collaborate with family to understand values, interests, and goals.
• Implement programming considering sensorimotor, cognitive, communicative, recreational, and social aspects.
• Contribute to program development and educate on home programs.
• Occasionally perform physical activities and lifts up to 40 pounds.
• Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed.
