The ideal candidate holds a DMD or DDS, board eligibility or certification in pediatric dentistry, and a current state license to practice.

Qualifications

• Board eligibility/certification in pediatric dentistry.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Malpractice insurance.
• DMD or DDS degree from ADA CODA-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create and review treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment options with patients.
• Maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Maintain high standards of care and ethics.
• Keep up with new developments and continuing education.
