Ideal Dental is seeking a Pediatric Dental Assistant to support our clinical team and patients in a fast-growing practice. You will assist the Pediatric Dentist, manage sterilization and room setup, and help educate families on post-treatment care.

This role emphasizes patient comfort, precise charting, and efficient patient flow within a patient-centered environment. Active RDA license and CPR certification are required, with at least 1 year in pediatric dentistry preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Assistant license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Coronal Polishing certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pediatric dental practice.
• Willingness to travel within assigned areas.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients with a friendly smile and ensure comfort throughout their pediatric journey.
• Assist Pediatric Dentist with procedures while maintaining safety and efficiency.
• Sterilize instruments and set up treatment rooms for appointments.
• Assist with conscious and IV sedation as needed.
• Performs X-rays and charts existing and recommended treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records to support clinical decisions.
• Foster teamwork and adaptability to deliver high-quality pediatric care.
• Support patient flow and clinical readiness in the practice.

What you’ll do:

• Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their pediatric journey.

• Support patients through complex pediatric procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience.

• Work alongside the Pediatric Dentist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patient’s needs.

• Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long-term oral health.

• Coordinate care and follow-ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care.

• Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality specialty care.

• Contribute to the success of the pediatric practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support.

What do you need to have to be a part of our team?

• Active Registered Dental Assistant License

• Current CPR certification

• Coronal Polishing certification (not required but a plus!)

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant in a Pediatric dental practice.

• Must be willing to travel within assigned areas
