Job summary

Ideal Dental is seeking a Pediatric Dental Assistant in Texas to support our clinical team and patients throughout treatment. You will assist the Pediatric Dentist, sterilize instruments, take X-rays, chart treatments, and help educate families on post‑treatment care.

The ideal candidate holds an active Registered Dental Assistant license, CPR certification, and ideally Coronal Polishing; at least 1 year of pediatric experience and willingness to travel within assigned areas.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Assistant License
• Current CPR certification
• Coronal Polishing certification (not required but a plus!)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant in a Pediatric dental practice.
• Must be willing to travel within assigned areas

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests with a smile.
• Assisting Pediatric Dentist with procedures.
• Sterilizing instruments and setting up trays.
• Assisting with conscious and iv sedation.
• Performing X-rays.
• Charting existing and recommended treatments.
• Performing other duties as required to support the office and team.

What you'll do:

• Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their pediatric journey.

• Support patients through complex pediatric procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience.

• Work alongside the Pediatric Dentist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experiencetailored to each patient’s needs.

• Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long-term oral health.

• Coordinate care and follow-ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care.

• Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality specialty care.

• Contribute to the success of the pediatric practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support.
