Job summary

Knox Area Rescue Ministries is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Manager in Farragut, Tennessee. The part-time role oversees bi-weekly payroll processing, benefits administration, leave management, and related reporting within the Team Services department.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business/Accounting and 3+ years in payroll/benefits, with Paycom experience preferred. Strong confidentiality and status-quo compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Three+ years payroll, benefits administration, HRIS, accounting, or HR experience.
• Experience processing payroll for multi-location organizations preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll laws, wage-hour regulations, employee benefits, FMLA, COBRA, ACA, and payroll tax.
• Experience with Paycom or comparable HRIS/payroll systems preferred.
• FPC or CPP preferred.
• Commitment to supporting Christ-centered mission and values of KARM Stores.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization's bi-weekly payroll process to ensure timely, accurate payroll administration.
• Manage the payroll email inbox, responding to payroll inquiries, pay change requests, payroll corrections, and other payroll-related communications.
• Review payroll information for accuracy and collaborate with the Director of Team Services to resolve payroll discrepancies, timecard issues, and exceptions.
• Administer employee benefits programs by assisting eligible team members with enrollment, changes, and questions.
• Conduct quarterly payroll audits and reconcile payroll information to ensure compliance and data integrity.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding employee information, compensation, and payroll records.
