Part-Time Payroll Specialist / Payroll Analyst
Looking for a part-time payroll opportunity where your experience can make an immediate impact?

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on payroll work, complex calculations, and working with Kronos, UKG or Ultipro.

What Youll Be Doing
  • Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees accurately and on time.
  • Review and reconcile payroll information, including overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, deductions, and pay adjustments.
  • Audit timekeeping records and investigate discrepancies involving hours, rates, differential pay, and other earnings.
  • Ensure payroll practices meet company policies and applicable wage and hour requirements.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies while responding to employee and management questions.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, audits, tax and deduction reviews, and payroll accounting activities.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and other internal teams to meet payroll deadlines.
  • Use payroll and timekeeping systems along with Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Provide additional payroll team coverage during this high-volume contract period.
  • Support payroll projects and process improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills when working with employees and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with payroll taxes, deductions, payroll accounting, audits, and reconciliations.
Additional Experience That Will Help You Stand Out
  • Payroll experience supporting multiple shifts and varying pay rates.
  • Experience working with complex timekeeping and attendance data.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Kronos, PeopleSoft, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Payroll reporting and data analysis experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Exposure to HR processes involving payroll, timekeeping, and employee data.
  • Experience with payroll tax processing and payroll accounting.
Work Schedule & Environment

This is a part-time contract position supporting the payroll team during a high-volume period.

Schedule:

  • Monday: Required
  • Tuesday: Required
  • Wednesday OR Thursday: One Day Required
  • Friday: 4 hours
  • Start times: Flexible within agreed-upon parameters

You'll work in a professional office or hybrid environment using payroll systems, time and attendance technology, and Microsoft Excel. The team is highly focused on accuracy, confidentiality, compliance, and meeting payroll deadlines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
