Job summary

Heritage Pointe is seeking a part-time transportation aide to safely move residents to appointments, procedures, and outings. You will assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle and secure mobility equipment.

You will maintain a professional demeanor, follow traffic laws and policies, keep the vehicle clean, logs accurate, and communicate with nursing and scheduling staff to coordinate transport needs. A valid driver's license and clean record are required; CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background check and any required screenings.
• Previous driving experience preferred, especially in healthcare or senior care settings.
• Ability to safely assist individuals with mobility needs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
• CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain, if required).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents/patients to appointments, procedures, and scheduled outings.
• Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility equipment properly.
• Maintain a friendly, respectful, and professional demeanor at all times.
• Follow all traffic laws and company transportation policies.
• Keep vehicle clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
• Complete transportation logs and required documentation accurately.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, incidents, or concerns promptly.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, scheduling staff, and leadership regarding transport needs.
