You will interview patients, collect demographics and insurance information, establish med records, verify benefits, and support accurate billing processes.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a customer-focused role, strong communication and computer skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year in a customer-focused role.
• Knowledge of patient registration, billing, payer sources.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to gather demographics and insurance information to register in the system.
• Establish the patient medical record and verify benefits.
• Provide notices and explain privacy and rights as required.
• Obtain authorizations and referrals from insurers.
• Identify financial responsibilities and collect payments.
• Act as liaison between patients, families and the organization.
• Communicate questions and concerns to staff and direct to proper services.
• Explain policies and guide patients to required services.
• Ensure confidentiality and privacy Rights are observed.
