Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant to join the 4 North Department in Huntington, WV. The role supports nursing with patient care activities under supervision and includes vital signs, specimen collection, charting, and patient assistance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a Medical Assistant degree or WV CNA license or PCT Certification, CPR and Glucoscan within specified times, and 1–2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant degree or West Virginia CNA license or PCT Certification required.
• CPR within 90 days of employment.
• Glucoscan within 90 days of employment.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under nursing or medical supervision.
• Perform duties such as taking vital signs and obtaining lab specimens.
• Charting and escorting patients as needed.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Handle clerical duties and order/receive supplies.
