Job summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV, seeks a full-time Patient Care Assistant to support the Mother Baby Unit. You will assist nursing staff with direct patient care, perform tasks such as vital signs, basic patient assistance, charting, and supplies management, under supervision.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, a Medical Assistant degree or WV CNA license or PCT Certification, CPR and Glucoscan within 90 days, and 1–2 years experience preferred. EOE as stated.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant degree or West Virginia CNA license or PCT Certification required.
• CPR within 90 days of employment.
• Glucoscan within 90 days of employment.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing by performing patient care tasks and duties.
• Take vital signs, obtain lab specimens, charting, and patient escorting.
• Assist with activities of daily living and manage clerical duties and supplies.
