Job summary

Penn Medicine in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Part Time (0.5 FTE, 20 hrs/week) patient care support role. Under supervision, you will assist with direct patient care and perform tasks to maintain a safe, clean and efficient unit environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of educational requirements with yearly competency evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Assists with delivery of direct, non-licensed patient care under supervision.
• Engages in environment management tasks and maintains unit order and safety.
• Orders and stocks supplies and demonstrates cost awareness.
• Documents patient information accurately and promptly.
• Assists with admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Answers patient call lights promptly and provides compassionate care.

Education
