Lake Metroparks seeks a Part-Time Building Maintenance Worker at Painesville Township Park to perform custodial, routine maintenance, and facility support duties that keep park buildings, restrooms, shelters, and related amenities safe, clean, and functional.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in custodial or facility maintenance preferred.
• Valid driver's license required and insurability.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain park buildings, restrooms, shelters, storage areas, and related amenities in a safe, clean, orderly, and functional condition.
• Perform routine custodial duties before, during, and after daily visitation, programs, rentals, and special events, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces, washing windows, emptying trash and recycling, cleaning restrooms, and restocking supplies.
• Complete minor building maintenance and repair tasks such as painting, surface preparation, basic fixture repairs, minor plumbing support, light carpentry, and other routine maintenance assignments within training and skill level.
• Conduct basic facility checks, including visual inspections of electrical, water, plumbing, and HVAC-related concerns, and reports repair or service needs to the Facility Manager.
• Open, close, secure, and prepares facilities for public use, programs, rentals, and events as assigned.
• Supports setup and tear down for programs, rentals, meetings, and special events, including moving tables, chairs, equipment, supplies, and other materials.
• Performs seasonal maintenance tasks, which may include snow and ice removal, litter collection, exterior facility checks, and related duties needed to support safe public access.
