Job summary

Detroit Public Schools Community District is seeking a part-time Family and Community Engagement - Parent Outreach Coordinator to support the Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) across DPSCD schools and district locations. The role involves parent outreach, enrollment assistance, and coordination of district-wide family engagement activities.

The position is office/field-based with travel to schools as needed, and does not offer telecommuting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Prior experience working or volunteering in a K-12 school setting.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing with parents and families about school-related matters.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the FACE office, school sites, and other District/community locations as assigned.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Teams and PowerSchool strongly preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support FACE parent and family engagement programs, workshops, meetings, conferences, and Districtwide initiatives, including registration, sign-in, participant support, evaluations, setup, breakdown, and other event logistics.
