Responsibilities

• Learns specific teaching strategies presented by the teacher and focuses on assisting students with the strategy.
• Builds relationships with students to support the strategy outcomes.
• Participates with the regular classroom teacher in evaluating student progress.
• Assists in developing teaching aides and classroom materials.
• Works with students or small groups to reinforce strategies.
• Performs clerical duties as requested.
• Participates in in-service training programs as assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information.
