Job summary

IMDiversity is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist the teacher, support students with special needs, and help create a safe, productive learning environment at St. Martin Parish School District facilities.

The role involves health-related assistance, instructional support, IEP documentation, and strong teamwork with related services to ensure student progress and safety during the day in both inclusion and self-contained settings.

Qualifications

• 27 college credits with a GPA ≥ 2.0, including English Composition, English/Reading, and Math.
• Associate degree or higher; or passing ParaPro Exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising teacher with health procedures and instructional support.
• Record-keeping for IEP activities and class preparation.
• Support inclusion and behavior plan goals throughout the day.
• Escort and assist students to destinations and monitor safety.
