Job summary

The Southwest Local School District, located in Harrison, Ohio, is seeking a Part-Time Paraprofessional I for the Southwest Early Childhood Learning Center. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current STNA or CNA certification is required.
• Valid Educational Aide Permit or credential issued by Ohio State Board of Education, or ability to obtain.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• Successful completion of district-required training related to student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional, personal care, and health-related support to students as outlined in IEPs and health plans.
• Collaborates with teachers, intervention specialists, nurses and therapists to implement goals and procedures.
• Observes and documents student performance and health information as directed.
• Assists with activities of daily living (toileting, feeding, dressing, hygiene, mobility).
• Provides health-related or delegated care procedures with appropriate training.
• Maintains student records and documents required for compliance.
• Participates in training and professional development related to student care and safety.
