Job summary

The Dougherty County EMS Department is hiring on a continuous basis for Part-Time Paramedics to respond to emergency calls and provide immediate care, transporting patients to medical facilities as needed. This role works under general supervision, developing work methods and sequences for timely EMS response.

Qualifications include a GA Paramedic license, BLS/ACLS certification, and a valid GA driver’s license with a suitable driving record; a high school diploma or GED is also required.

Qualifications

• State of Georgia Paramedic license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Valid GA driver’s license with satisfactory driving history.
• Ability to lift up to 180 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Initiates patient care and provides emergency medical treatment.
• Directs first responders and bystanders during incidents.
• Operates ambulance and manages transport decisions.
• Maintains radio communications with dispatch and hospital.
• Ensures proper documentation after each call.
• Provides professional customer service to staff and public.
