BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) operates under the guidance of the Plasma Center Manager and Center Physician, supporting plasma center operations.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility for plasma donation.
• Manage informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self‑exclusion.
• Conduct medical history interview and acceptability assessment.
• Perform physical examination and blood testing.
• Review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
• Coordinate donor transport to emergency care as required.
• Provide guidance on medical or technical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and consult occupational health for further evaluation.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of local community threats.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate‑level nursing program recognized by state requirements.
• Licensed or certified RN, NP, or PA in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State‑compliant basic IV therapy training.
• Completed FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Compensation and Benefits

Location: USA – CO – Thornton

Hourly wage range: $26.88 – $36.96. Salary subject to qualifications, experience, and state minimum wage requirements.
