Job summary

Henry Ford Hospital in Wyandotte, MI, seeks a Paramedic Clinical Extender for part-time work (20 hours/week) with every-other-weekend/holiday rotation. Rotating shifts, in inpatient/outpatient settings, under the supervision of an RN partner and physicians.

Responsibilities include providing age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care, maintaining safety, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the care team to plan and evaluate care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Paramedic program.
• Current license as Paramedic in Michigan.
• ACLS and BLS provider status must be current.
• PALS and PHTLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care under supervision.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to deliver care.
• Educate patients and families and advocate for patients.
• Assist in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
