Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Paramedic in Novi for a part-time role (24 hours/week, 7am–7:30pm). You will join the Emergency Medical Services team, delivering essential basic and advanced life support and coordinating patient transport with physicians and nurses.

The position emphasizes rapid assessment, stabilization, and clear communication, supporting diverse communities across Oakland County with compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of related experience.
• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire; accepts AHA or Red Cross.
• Paramedic credential from Michigan EMS required prior to hire.
• Valid Michigan Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Identify, intervene, and stabilize patients under physician/RN direction.
• Initiate interventions per transport team protocols.
• Monitor and communicate patient condition and treatment.
• Provide population-specific education to patients and families.
• Inspect and care for transport equipment to ensure safety.
