Job summary

Davidson County EMS in North Carolina is seeking a part-time Paramedic to perform emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital medical care. The role requires assessing, treating, and transporting patients, with 12-hour shifts assigned to day or night rotations, under EMS Captain supervision.

Applicants should have paramedic training, an associates degree in Emergency Medical Science, and continuing education. NC Driver License and credential reciprocity are required, ACLS/PALS/CPR and ICS

Qualifications

Paramedic training and an Associate degree in Emergency Medical Science or equivalent.
Thirteen hours of continuing education annually? (Note: see ad)
Thirty hours of continuing education annually.
Valid North Carolina Driver License and paramedic credential.
ACLS, PALS, CPR and NIMS/ICS credentials preferred or obtainable in first year.

Responsibilities

Respond to non-emergency and emergency medical calls and transport patients.
Provide initial medical assessment and treatment per protocols; include ALS techniques.
Complete event reports and maintain medical equipment and vehicles.
Coordinate with mutual aid and provide outreach education in the community.
Ensure adherence to safety rules and departmental procedures.
