Job summary

Juneau School District is seeking a part-time paraeducator to work with students at Kaxdigoowu H3en Elementary School. The role supports instructional activities in reading, writing, math, computers, and vocational education, either one-on-one or in small groups.

The position requires a High School diploma (or equivalent), and there is a 9-month term with a starting wage of $24.40 per hour and benefits including medical, dental, vision, PERS, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Some experience with school age children preferred.
• CPR and first aid may be required.
• Must have AA degree or 48 semester hours or pass WorkKeys exam.

Responsibilities

• Present material and activities to improve reading, writing, math, computers, and vocational skills.
• Work with students individually or in small groups.
• Record grades and progress and behavior.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate with staff, students and parents.
