Job summary

The Juneau School District is seeking an Elementary Teacher (Kaxdigoowu Heen Elementary School) for a part-time (.50 FTE) position. The successful candidate will collaborate with thePrincipal and teams on instructional strategies, assessment, and curriculum data analysis to support students’ growth.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in education and a valid Alaska teaching certificate or ability to obtain one.

• Valid Alaska teaching certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Principal, Literacy Coach, Instructional Support Team and colleagues on instructional strategies, ongoing assessment, curriculum and data analysis.
• Build strong relationships with families and staff to meet social, emotional and instructional needs of students.
• Learn and implement new instructional techniques and apply effective elementary strategies in reading, writing and mathematics.
