Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a Paraeducator Level I or II at Jackson Road Elementary School in Silver Spring. Work is 9:45 a.m.–2:45 p.m. with a 15-minute paid break, totaling 50 hours bi-weekly across 10 months, in a Title I school.

Qualifications include an associate’s degree (bachelor preferred) and possibly ParaPro exam passing score. Experience with young learners and knowledge of instructional strategies are valued.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 9 credit-hours related to education such as behavior management or instructional strategies.
• ParaPro Assessment with a passing score is required (455+).
• 1 year of experience in structured educational settings is preferred or two to four years if coursework is not completed.
