Job summary

Juneau School District seeks a part-time paraeducator to support students under supervision. The role focuses on assisting in reading, writing, math, computers and vocational activities, working with individuals or small groups.

Responsibilities include recording grades and progress, maintaining confidentiality, and providing instructional assistance. Requires a high school diploma and eligibility to take the WorkKeys exam; prior experience with school-age children is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR, first aid and district approved behavioral management techniques may be required.
• High School diploma is required; AA degree or 48 semester hours preferred or eligible to take WorkKeys exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional assistance in assigned areas.
• Record grades and progress of students.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with staff, students and parents.
• Operate a computer and related software.
• Work with students individually or in small groups.
