Job summary

Juneau School District is seeking a part-time Education Aide at Auke Bay Elementary School to support students with learning activities in reading, writing, math, computers, and vocational education. The role mainly serves students not in special education and involves working individually or in small groups while recording progress.

The position is 20 hours per week for 9 months; CPR/First Aid may be required, and fingerprints will be checked for employment.

Qualifications

• Experience with school age children preferred.
• CPR, first aid and district approved behavioral management techniques may be required.
• Must have either an AA degree, or 48 semester hours, or be willing to take and pass the WorkKeys Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Present material and activities to improve skills in reading, writing, math, computers and/or vocational education.
• Work individually or in small groups.
• Record grades and other measures of students' progress and behavior.
