Job summary

Silverstone Living is seeking a Part Time Painter to prepare surfaces, apply undercoats and finish coats, and maintain paint surfaces. Schedule is 8am-4pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with on-call and weekend maintenance as needed.

Ideal candidate has at least 5 years of commercial painting experience and basic mechanical/electrical knowledge. The role supports a nonprofit organization serving residents in Nashua area.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of trades.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial painting experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains existing paint surfaces through matching and tinting of appropriate paint products.
• Performing all assigned duties including, but not limited to; trash pick-up, plumbing, heating & cooling systems, electrical and furniture moving.
• Working on off-duty hours, if called, in an emergency situation including, but not limited to: snow storms; hurricanes; floods; fires; essential equipment failures or malfunction. A minimum of three (3) hours will be paid for any call-in situation.
• Assisting on weekend coverage with other maintenance staff.
• Assume responsibility for self-safety and that of the immediate environment.
• Reporting all problems to the Director of Plant Operation regularly and in emergencies.
• Being available for emergency on call on an alternating basis with other maintenance staff.
• Attending annual in-service programs including, but not limited to, body mechanics, right-to-know information, and fire and safety procedures.
