Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in New Orleans, LA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate at our Automotive Finishes branch to prepare and deliver orders, assist customers, and ensure safety and accuracy in daily operations.

The role involves loading/unloading, operating warehouse equipment, and processing sales at the POS, with emphasis on inventory accuracy and customer service. Hours align with branch schedule and may vary by business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule in a safe and timely manner (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
• Load and unload products from deliveries.
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks).
• Assist customers in person and over the phone.
• Process sales transactions at the POS accurately and in line with policies.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Ensure stockroom is organized.
• Operate color retrieval and paint mixing machine equipment as needed.
• Comply with inventory control procedures and assist with physical inventory.
• Complete Monthly and Quarterly Safety Training.
