Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Part-Time Package Handler in Mason City, IA. You will load, unload, and sort freight with a focus on accuracy and timeliness, supporting quick deliveries.

The shift runs Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM, with pay ranging from $19.00 to $24.25 per hour based on experience and internal equity. Starting pay is determined by relevant experience and internal equity, with potential for increases as you gain proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Responsabilités

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
• Stack freight into trailers and routes to prevent damage and maximize space
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image as needed
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years we have expanded throughout the Midwest.

Job Summary

The Part-Time Package Handler will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.

Hours and Wages

• Tuesday-Saturday, 5:00AM-9:00AM
• $19.00-24.25 per hour, based on experience
  • The posted pay range reflects the compensation range for this position. Starting pay will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills and internal equity. Employees are generally hired below the maximum of the range to allow room for future compensation growth as they gain experience, develop their skills and demonstrate increased proficiency in the role. Compensation increases are based on applicable company policies, performance and individual development

Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state

Education and Experience

• At least 16 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
