Job summary

Northeast College of Health Sciences invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program at Seneca Falls Campus. The role supports PAS 5103, PAS 5104, and PAS 5105 courses, working with the course director to deliver lectures and labs.

The position is part-time, exempt, and may require additional commitment beyond the normal workweek as needed. Prior teaching in health sciences is valued.

Qualifications

• Must be either a physician or PA. If a PA, must be NCCPA Certified and State Licensed.
• Three years full-time experience in clinical medicine.
• Possess earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the field in which they are teaching from an accredited institution.
• A demonstrated aptitude for teaching health science students.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to function in a team.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and advising students, and assisting the course director in providing instruction during lecture and lab activities.
• Plan and present course material; establish objectives and requirements; select texts and materials; prepare and grade assessments; assign grades with nondiscrimination.
• Provide current course material aligned with the curriculum; ensure student comprehension and competency; provide outcome assessments.
• Explain expectations clearly, organize material logically, and emphasize key ideas; encourage student participation and ethical conduct.
• Support research and scholarly activities and participate in citizenship within the college community.
