Job summary

Northeast College of Health Sciences is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the Seneca Falls Campus. The role supports PAS 5103/5104/5105 courses for 6–8 hours weekly, runs 15 weeks in Fall, with a salary of $113.30–$139.05 per hour.

The position involves classroom, lab, and online instruction under the program director, with expectations for course material delivery, student assessment, and scholarly engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be either a physician or PA. If a PA, must be NCCPA Certified and State Licensed.
• Three years full-time experience in clinical medicine.
• Possess earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the field in which they are teaching from an accredited institution.
• A demonstrated aptitude for teaching health science students.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to function in a team.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and present course material; establish course objectives; select texts; prepare, administer and grade papers and examinations; assign grades without discrimination.
• Provide students with appropriate, current course material; ensure comprehension and competency; provide unbiased outcome assessments.
• Explain expectations and subject matter; recognize student levels of comprehension; summarize major points; organize material logically.
• Motivate and academically challenge students; advise and counsel students regarding their work; participate in governance and scholarly activities.
