Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care and support within the therapy department in Downey, CA. The role includes evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and documenting progress in the medical records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in the state.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation preferred; adult neurological and/or general rehab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients; develop treatment plans and obtain physician approvals.
• Supervise Certified OT Assistants and aides in patient care as per policy.
• Document services in medical records and ensure accurate billing documentation.
• Communicate with families, physicians, and health team members about progress and plans.
• Contribute to rehab team conferences and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Educate families and staff on follow-through programs and safety practices.
