Job summary

South Dakota Developmental Center in Redfield, SD is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The OT will focus on daily living skills, motor and sensory processing, and emotional regulation to improve independence and community participation.

The role requires SD licensure and NBCOT eligibility, with opportunities to collaborate in an interdisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed with the SD State Board as an Occupational Therapist.
• Must be or eligible to be registered as an Occupational Therapist through NBCOT.

Responsibilities

• Improve clients' independence, social engagement and quality of life through OT.
• Assess daily living skills, motor and sensory processing, and emotional regulation.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and document progress.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide treatment recommendations.
• Perform duties as assigned.
