Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute is seeking a part-time Physician Assistant to join our busy sports medicine practice, primarily based in Munster, Indiana, with a predictable schedule and no routine travel between locations.

The PA will conduct histories and exams, interpret imaging, assist in injections and surgical cases, and collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans. Illinois Bone and Joint Institute offers a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited PA program with completed residency.
Illinois state licensure up to date as Physician Assistant.
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
Active NCCPA certification.
ACLS desirable; CPR required.

Responsibilities

Secures histories and physical exams; updates status of patients scheduled for recheck visits.
Interprets X-rays and orders additional imaging (CTs/MRIs).
Performs knee and shoulder injections and assists in surgery.
Applies casts, splints, braces under physician supervision; removes staples and sutures.
Prescribes medications and documents care; communicates progress to physician.
