Job summary

You will assist physicians, educate patients on cast care, and ensure safe immobilization as part of orthopedic care teams.

Required to have a strong knowledge of anatomy, hands-on casting skills, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Direct orthopedic tech or casting-related experience preferred or related programs with casting exposure.
• Knowledge of anatomy and orthopedic procedures essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform orthopedic immobilization procedures under physician direction.
• Apply fiberglass and plaster casts.
• Fit upper and lower-extremity braces.
• Apply splints and create molds for custom braces.
• Remove sutures and staples as directed.
• Support clinical care and patient flow in outpatient settings.
• Document interventions clearly and accurately.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and clinical environment.
