Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking an Oral Surgery Assistant in Saint Augustine, FL for a part-time position with a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Must have anesthesia training and be able to provide comprehensive chair-side support during dental surgical procedures.

The role emphasizes patient-centric care, rigorous infection control, radiography duties, and coordination with surgeons. The ideal candidate holds a dental assisting certification and state licensure, with CPR and OSHA awareness.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training and state required licensure.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
• Radiography/ X-RAY certification for respective state.
• CPR Certification required.
• Proficient in navigating Windows 7,8 and 10.
• Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patients.
• OSHA regulations require medical evaluation and fit test for respirator use when aerosol-generating procedures are performed.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to surgeons during procedures including preparation and documentation.
• Provide excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors including charting and operatory setup/cleanup.
• Communicate professionally with team and patients in a service-oriented manner.
• Take dental radiographs/x-rays and cone beam 3D scans as needed.
• Assist with Sedation Processes and patient preparation for treatment.
• Monitor patient vital statistics and IV fluids during surgery and notify surgeon of issues.
